April 13, 2016 - Social media reports have indicated Kevin Sutton has decided to leave Georgetown for ACC pastures. Confirmed just minutes ago, Sutton is in fact headed to that conference, accepting a similar position with Pittsburgh.

Sutton had been on The Hilltop since 2013, when he traveled up Pennsylvania Ave from George Washington, a two year experience for him.

Over the course of nearly 29 years in coaching, Sutton has been on collegiate staffs at JMU and ODU, in addition to a stellar prep bench leader, with stops at Flint Hill, Harker Prep, St. John’s Prospect Hall, Montrose Christian and Montverde Academy. Those teams went 489-102 with him involved.

A known expert in basketball development and an overall good person, Sutton also has USA Basketball on his resume: The Hoop Festival and U16 Junior Developmental Team as well as head coach of the Nike/USA Basketball Hoop Summit.

Good luck goes out to Sutton and his family, who will surely be a positive influence to Kevin Stalling’s program and the University of Pittsburgh, overall.
